The record labels and artists have just gotten greedy lately; they don't at all care about how terrible the garbage they create is. It's all about money, sex, looks, how 'hot' the person is, so on, so forth.  People convince themselves they are musically talented because they can throw their 'songs' together using Garageband or some other audio program, or that they sound good only because of pitch correction..
